| Introduction | The Johnicholls Family is Peter Johnson (PJ), Felicity Nicholls (Flic), and our two sons, Hamish and Morgan. Our extended families are based near Melbourne and Mackay, Australia. Hence, there can be a lot of traveling at different times - Bendigo is 2 hours drive from Melbourne, and Mackay is a 3 hour direct flight to QLD. PJ has worked in Endangered Species Conservation for the best part of 30 years, and up until August 2009, Flic also worked in Biodiversity Conservation, managing the very successful Land For Wildlife program. She now finds great satisfaction working with special needs kids in primary school. Our current home was built in 1872 and is known as Providence Cottage. We also have a property at Humevale, in the beautiful Kinglake Ranges. Sadly and tragically this beautiful retreat was destroyed by the devastating fires of Black Saturday, February 7th, 2009. Part of the purpose of this blog is to document the rehabilitation of this area. We will also be sharing key events and various other aspects in our family life. |
