| Introduction | Claudia Peyton, M.AmSAT teaching for fifteen years holds a national certification from the American Society of Alexander Technique. She holds a BFA from the University of Illinois and an MA from Lesley University. Claudia has a unique perspective based on her experience in the Performing Arts, Integrative Medicine and Mindfulness arenas. She has taught the Alexander Technique to training candidates for the Alexander Technique, medical professionals of New York Presbyterian Hospital, and acting professionals Judith Shakespeare Company and students of Pace University in New York City. Currently Claudia teaches for the Northern Illinois University Department of Theater and Dance, the Community Music Center of Harper College, and the acting training program of Victory Gardens Theater of Chicago. Claudia’s teaching cultivates awareness as a foundation for a deeper inquiry into improved posture and movement quality in everyday activity. |
