My blogs
| Introduction | I grew up at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains near Waynesboro, Virginia. For the past 35 years I have been living in the charming old community of Sudbrook Park, built in 1889. I am a stay-at-home MeMom of four grandchildren, Sean, Jim, Holly and Jenna whom I help homeschool. I love arts and crafts, sewing, cross-stitching, decorating, cake decorating and gardening. I love the old and new, and I love combining the two. I dedicate my spare time to self-instruction and researching all aspects of primitive art and its history. My love of primitive art is part of up-bringing but making them is my passion. My dolls and other creations are mostly primitive in nature. I am careful when selecting what designs I am going to make. I pick designs and characters that seem to have a story to tell or maybe they have unique or interesting features. Some of them I have designed, the rest has been designed by someone else but I have added my own personal touches where appropriate. I give attention to each piece down to the smallest detail. |
