Introduction Too long ago, Daniel Knowler found a tape of an electronics company board-meeting. He mangled it clumsily together with guitar noise, static and animal sounds and thereby accidentally formed the short-lived Extensions To No. Daniel's main concern for the past 12 years has been the experimental rock band Leisur Hive. After four albums, numerous compilation tracks and too many dirty noisy gigs accross Europe (as well as the "dropping" of the "e" from Leisure) the LH maelstrom eventually settled in the dusty grey tones of new album, The Soft Column. And with it, a temporary rest from live shows. Currently Dan is involved in two new song-based projects: National Socialites (with Nat Rae, Orrin Hare and Sam McCloughlin) and The Infinite Three (with R.Allen of Leisur Hive/Halo/Un) the latter being natural successor to Leisur Hive's warped songs, bending melodic matter through the lenses of dub, improv, rock and psychedelic noise. Dan is also highly active as Sweetie, his drone-noise alter-ego; is currently guitarist in experimental veterans CindyTalk; runs the Actual Size Music label; and indulges in web design, general queerness and the odd bit of radical political agitation.
