| Introduction | The words 'Keep Going. Stay Warm.' came from a complete stranger. Shortly after graduating college I went on a run late at night. The temperature was close to zero. I passed a man taking out his trash. Seeing him reminded me the next day was trash day. I thanked the stranger as I passed by him for the reminder. He laughed and said, “Keep going. Stay warm.” During that run his words replayed in my head. Knowing the opportunities and obstacles life provides, there are times when motivation and enthusiasm lacks and discouragement and weariness sets in. The words ‘Keep going. Stay warm.’ is principle I have lived by. In the almost 9 years I spent in college, it took a lot of ‘Keep going. Stay warm.’ moments to achieve a college degree. As I am reentering the working world, I am sure there will be more, ‘Keep going. Stay warm.’ moments. This time; for another goal. This blog documents my thoughts and lessons on professional development both on the clock and off of the clock. It will capture the process and hopefully encourage others to ‘Keep going. Stay warm.’ |
