| Introduction | I first started writing trip journals when I had to travel the world on business. Most of these related to business decisions but an occasional aside slipped in about jogging in Karachi and avoiding pot holes or swallowing sea slugs in Taipei. When I retired, Betsey and I began traveling the world with an entirely new perspective--pure pleasure and enlightenment. I decided to continue the journal-writing tradition when friends kept asking us about our trips. We hope you enjoy the commentary and want to emphasize that reading is purely voluntary.
