| Interests | What makes a good book great? A passion for children's literature and what makes a book both good and memorable should be of highest priority to discriminating readers today. I have just retired from teaching children's literature and literacy at the university, both graduate and undergraduate, for over 20 years after 15 years in the classroom. My published research has focused on the areas of books that encourage strong positive character traits. I have also run literacy clinics for children who struggle with reading problems, and always include children's literature as a building block. |
