| Introduction | This blog with appropriate scripture proofs was inspired by dissatisfaction in the ability of traditional creeds and confessions to answer objections and hard questions posed by real life and lack of opportunity for meaningful discussion in the church. It is also dedicated, to the exploration of an alternative approach to the scriptures other than that put forth by covenant of works/covenant of grace thinking. The quest by this writer commenced over twenty years ago when baptism was denied to his little son. The study began with baptism as understood by Baptists. This led to a study of family solidarity that led to Covenant theology. There was a necessary change in church affiliation from Reformed Baptist to Reformed to Presbyterian to Independent Reformed. The issue centered on the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper for most of that time (infant baptism and infant communion.) |
