Introduction	My name is Doug Wasilieff and I love to paint. I am still a student and I don't call myself an artist, but painting is in my blood. I yearn for the day I can call myself an artist and this blog is about that journey. I have accepted a challenge made by Larry Seiler, a talented artist who is sharing his knowledge at WetCanvas.com, to paint 120 paintings. He wants us to paint from life and all my still life paintings will be painted that way, but landscapes will have to be done from photos. These paintings will mostly be small studies and hopefully painted in an hour or less. I am sure I will get quicker the further along I am in the challenge. Most of the paintings will be done in soft pastel, but I might use other mediums like gouache, oils, acrylics or watercolor. So, thank you for joining me in this journey. It should be fun.
