| Introduction | I was born and raised in Brookhaven, NY, which is about 60 miles east of New York City. I came to Western New York to attend SUNY Fredonia, where I majored in Communication and minored in French and History. After college, I spent 8 years working in local TV news. I spent 2 years in Buffalo, at WKBW-TV Channel 7 and 6 years in Charlotte, NC at WSOC-TV Channel 9. I returned to Western New York in 2005 and attended the University at Buffalo, where I received my Master's Degree in Library Science. I worked as a school librarian for a year in Salamanca before I came to Pioneer. My husband and I have been married since 2009. We live in Holland. In our free time, we enjoy travelling, watching baseball and running. We try to go some place warm during winter vacations. We're also trying to see a game in all of the Major League Baseball stadiums. We are both also active in the running community. He has completed several Ironman races and I am the Buffalo Ambassador for the Half Fanatics, which means I run a lot of half marathons! I also play flute in the Pioneer Community Band and I am actively re-learning how to speak French. |
