Introduction	I started quilting in 1998, during a summer when it was simply too hot to knit. My grandmother helped me layer and baste the quilt on Christmas Eve (and into Christmas morning), a memory I cherish. I was, however, astounded when she showed me how to hand quilt. I had no clear understanding until that moment just how long it would take for me to quilt the queen sized quilt. Nonetheless, I became fast friends with the needle and have enjoyed quilting ever since.
Interests	I avidly enjoy quilting, knitting, heirloom gardening, fermenting (yogurt, bread, beer...), chicken-keeping, hiking, photography, and anything else that happens to pass my way
