| Introduction | When I was almost 7 years old and attending a Christian school, my teacher prayed after a Bible story. I realized that I needed to be saved. Knowing about Christ wasn’t good enough as receiving Him as MY personal Savior! It finally clicked with me that I was a sinner as Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” I also realized what Romans 6:23 says “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” John 3:16 I knew by heart – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” I was accepting this free gift of God, without works. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” I prayed that day in November and asked God to forgive me for my sins against Him and to become my Savior. Since that time, God has used events in my life to help me grow in the Lord. I am thankful that God has counted me worthy to serve Him. |
