Introduction | I have been interested in food, nutrition and complementary therapies since a young age. In 2004 when I found I had benign MS, inspired by a book by Judy Graham, I looked in to natural ways I could help myself maintain health. I saw a kinesiologist and dabbled with diet, removing or reducing some foods stuffs. This began my hunt for wheat-free, dairy-free recipes low in fat. I was well and very active until 2010 when things started to slide a little and I had my first relapse. Since then I have committed wholeheartedly to diet. I have always enjoyed cookbooks. Frustrated that these days I can usually only make a handful of the recipes, I decided to have a go! I am testing and collecting recipes to compile my own 'cookbook' folder where each and every one is a tasty MS friendly feast. Some have been also been tasted by people not on special diets and given the thumbs up too! |
Interests | Trying new recipes, mindfulness meditation, time with family and friends, photography. |
Favorite Movies | I like a film that lifts my spirits and reminds me what it's all about. Recently I enjoyed 'Remember Me' and 'As good as it gets' and I also found myself really laughing out loud at a silly comedy 'Grown Ups'. |
