Introduction	Clare grew up near Portsmouth, Hampshire in the UK and started studying Art full time at the age of 16. By the time she reached 18 she had developed a strong interest in kiln formed glass and a majority of work being produced at the time was being made in glass. This interest led Clare to choose a degree in Glass and Architectural glass at The Edinburgh College of Art in Edinburgh, Scotland where she spent three years learning the technicalities of making glass. Clare graduated in 2007 from The Edinburgh College of Art with a BA(Hons) in Glass. She moved to Australia in 2008 to undertake the associate program in the JamFactory’s glass studio. Clare currently works from an independent studio in the JamFactory, her background in textiles playing large part in the development of her work with a focus on colour, pattern and texture.
