Introduction DAVID ORRIS - BIOGRAPHY Born in Twin Peaks and raised in Chicago, David began performing at a very young age as a church vocalist and pianist, playing classical and gospel music alike at age four. Today, his works as a composer, lyricist, artist and producer are ultimately about beauty, humor and truth. As a BMG Chrysalis songwriter and indie recording artist, David’s songs have appeared in a variety of TV and film, including the hit JJ Abrams and Matt Reevevs series Felicity as well as Smallville, MTV’s Real World and numerous others. He has toured extensively throughout the U.S. and songs from his last two albums “The Seraphim Circus” and “Retrograde Boulevard” have both charted at #1 nationally on CMJ and are available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and all online outlets. David is a graduate of Wheaton College and Conservatory. He resides in Hollywood, CA where he is currently hard at work composing music and lyrics for several pop/rock musicals, most notably Invisible (with bookwriter David Hollingsworth) which was this year’s first-prize winner in the International Search for New Musicals.
