| Introduction | I am a dedicated local advocate for the rights and opportunities of people with developmental disabilities in Washington, DC, and I began writing this blog in 2014. Former chair of the DC Developmental Disabilities Council and active participant in disability-related committees, I am the parent of a young man receiving supports from DC’s Department on Disability Services. In addition to advocating for full inclusion of people with disabilities, I support statehood for DC and write a weekly newsletter entitled DClives (https://cagrigsby.substack.com/archive). Opinions in this blog are my own. |
| Interests | DC statehood, local history, jazz and a capella singing |
| Favorite books | I read constantly and have belonged to the same book club since 2000. I read about equal amounts of fiction and nonfiction but would have a hard time picking specific favorite titles! |
