| Introduction | I consider myself a Southern Californian first and a Yankee New Englander second. A lifelong bibliophile, PBS nerd and a fan of miniature dachshunds, I also am a dabbler in what I call the granny crafts – sewing and knitting. Creating a beautiful, inviting home (or tiny apartment in my case), exploring the great outdoors, photography and cooking are the delights of my life. It’s this last one that was the seed for this blog. What started as a new year’s resolution in 2011 to eat more locally sourced and organic foods led to posting recipes and pictures of the results on my Facebook page. Thanks to the encouragement and support of my friends and family in the early days of 2011, those posts turned into my little blog. |
