| Introduction | Ladyfest Ottawa is a non-profit, primarily women-organised music and arts festival that is open to everyone. LFO is a volunteer-driven organisation that showcases women's artistic expression and shares ideas through music, performance, film and video, exhibitions, panels and workshops. One of LFO's actviities is Rock Camp for Girls ages 13 to 17 to come together to develop musical skills and learn how to be in a rock band. Rock Camp for Girls supports young women to have confidence and be active participants in a fun, creative and respectful community of female musicians. The Rock 'n' Roll workshop will inspire participants to start a band through tuition in bass, drums or guitar, and the basics of being in a rock band. |
