| Introduction | Founded 2009 and in 2010, Nxt Steps Youth Association had successful results. Through tailor made programs consisting of work placements / mentoring/workshops. We aim build the young people’s own independence, self-esteem/worth, personal awareness, self-motivation and purposefulness. Giving practical guidance and skills on securing a job, or progressing into further education. The programme is particularly useful for young people that may have 'lost their way' though youth offending, substance misuse, etc as the program aims to break the cycle of unemployment through (a)work experience, (b)Mentoring, (c) practical/personal development workshops.Covering 5 main elements of transferable work skills. All individuals compile a Development Plan with the assistance of trainers, when they are registered to one of the programs. The Programme also includes. (as an optional package price) Communication & Confidence training. This programme provides self leadership, communication & learning skills beficial for work.
