| Introduction | Ok. Born in Derbyshire, no birds, fewer jobs and too many loony mates soon saw me escape - eventually to east Norfolk via brief periods in several places including Greece, Indonesia and Norwich. I'm a teacher (the holidays dontchooknow!) for money but live for birds, music and playing football. Recently moved to Sea aPalling with the goregous Holly and almost as gorgeous greyhound, Ben. After a few years twitching like the little div I was I've spent a fair amount of time birding overseas in such lovely places as Tibet, Indonesia, China, Peru, Costa Rica, blah blah blah, but with a particular passion for the oriental region which led to me becoming a part of the fantastic Oriental Bird Club and helping to produce some of their amazing publications over a five year period. Overjoyed at finally being in a place where you can get fantastic birds on a walk from your front door and the potential for the unexpected is always there... waking up to the sound of pinkfeet over the house is a dream come true. |
