| Introduction | My work began as a study of technique and process to create the emotion inspired by our natural environment. Through examination of our surroundings I began to see the complex interconnectedness of humans and nature. I strive to communicate the human element to each naturally inspired painting through movement often expressed through layering and line. As I move through my exploration as an artist I find the patterns which make up our world and endeavor to capture movement, emotion, and light through line, color, and layers. I hope my collection will prompt introspection, consideration, and reflection on how we fit in the bigger scheme of the natural world as well as how the natural world affects us. |
