About me

IntroductionWhen I was little, we spent a great deal of time at my Grandmother's house. Everyone congregated on the front porch while there, and everyone had some chore to work on while sitting there. Especially us kids! After shelling what felt like millions of purple-hull peas, my fingers were dark purple and extremely sore. I looked around at everyone else and found my Aunt Jane working with yarn. It looked so soft! I got her to teach me to crochet, which kept me out of the peas and beans. Little did I know that crochet is a gateway craft! Pretty soon, I just had to learn to sew. Then it was drawing and painting. After a while I had a seven day a week habit. The supplies were eating up all of the space in my house. And oh, the equipment! Every spare dollar I had went to looms, fabric, yarn, paint, and beads. My family hasn't quite got the courage to hold an intervention yet. After all, what would I give them for Christmas and birthdays if I didn't make it? I still love to learn new things. Still have a house full of supplies. And still love the skill set my Aunt Jane taught me so many years ago!
