About me

Location Elk Grove and Surrounding areas, California, United States
Introduction John first became interested in photography in 1987, the same year he met his wife Robin, while in the Navy, after discovering a camera aboard his submarine. Quickly, taking pictures became a hobby and eventually grew into a passion for both John and Robin. Today, John uses a digital Nikon D300 camera and almost exclusively takes pictures of nature. Robin uses a Nikon D200 and loves both Scenic and Portrait work. They take frequent trips to Muir Woods, Bodega Bay, Lake Tahoe, Eureka and other scenic spots throughout the state. John also has visited Thailand several times, where he loves to take photos of the country’s architecture and people. Someday, the couple hopes to take a photographic excursion to Alaska.
Interests When I prepare to make images I pray to you, “Oh Lord, that I might catch glimpse of your face.” Capture Your Grace, your Glory in whatever place. I Praise you and thank you throughout the day, knowing it is your will, I need only listen along the way. You are all around us if we just take the time to see. Whether it be a rose, the ocean, the mountains, or the mighty sea. I often find myself standing in awe of the beauty that surrounds me. Why can’t others see? Our job is to carry out God’s will on earth. Through God I know I have experienced a spiritual rebirth. When I see a beautiful tree, a waterfall, the flowers of spring, the wondrous colors of fall. The white of the snow, the blue of the ocean now knowing God has created it all. I love you Lord Jesus, I worship, and praise you, and walk in your wonders, now seeing things anew. When you look at my photos, this is what I want you to see. It is not my works, but a reflection of HE.
