Introduction	The School University Research Network (SURN) is a part of the School of Education at The College of William and Mary. SURN began in 1993. SURN operates primarily on grant funding to provide professional development to teachers and instructional leaders. Recent professional development topics include assessment, literacy, teacher selection, and leadership. Each June a National Leadership Academy is held in Williamsburg, VA.
