IntroductionFluffy Singler is a poet, writer, performer, performance artist, etc. She publishes the journal Karawane: Or, the Temporary Death of the Bruitist, restarting it after a 10 year hiatus. She has an MA from NYU, is pursuing a second MA at Western Illinois University, and has all of the coursework done towards her PhD at the University of Minnesota. She believes the radical political potential of avant garde values in performance poetry to confront Spectacle (as defined by Debord in Society of the Spectacle) and Myth (as defined by Roland Barthes in Myth Today). In short, she believes in the Surrealist goal liberation of the imagination as a highly political act.
