| Introduction | The Short and Sweet Version: The incubation of my wish to be a Counselor stemmed from all the adults who influenced and sheparded me through my youth. I was fortunate to have them take an active interest in me. They gave of themsevles freely so that I could be the best person I could. I am grateful for that. As a result of their efforts I have a sincere desire to help prepare young people for a future in which they can feel confident and experience success. I started out as a raw rookie Counselor. As the years went by I tried this, experienced that, and gained a comfort level as I settled into the art of counseling. Along the way I have acquired some wisdom, garnered opinions, cultivated ideas, and carved at my craft to what it is today. I blog in order to share these things. More importantly, though, to learn and to continue growing professionally and personally. My vision for this blog is to share what I have discovered to be true for me along This Counselor's Journey. |
