| Introduction | I was born and raised in the middle of the Pacific Ocean on the tiny island of Oahu, Hawaii. I come from a long line of travelers - in fact, my parents met while traveling - and the bug has definitely been passed on to me. After graduating from highschool, I headed east to Colorado for my Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Recreation & Tourism. Since then, I seem to have been on a southward trail, heading to Belize for a study abroad, then to Costa Rica for a job as an adventure tour guide, then back to Hawaii for a stint to get my master's degree researching ecotourism certification, and now, about as far south as one can get, I am in Argentina, studying geography in a desert oasis called Mendoza, at the foot of the tallest mountain in the western hemisphere, thanks to an Ambassador of Goodwill Scholarship from the Rotary Foundation. |
