| Introduction | I'm a writer. My hard drive is full of unfinished stories, just like my life. Sometimes I dream in Chinese. Most of the time, I just dream, period. I was born in the last year of the Chinese Great Famine, started school in the second year of the Cultural Revolution, graduated from high school a year after Mao died, and came to U.S. two years after the Tiananmen Square Massacre. I hold three master’s degrees, two of which are in English, and one I use to make a living so I can write. |
