Introduction	Compassion walks in and pays for Upset. Creativity and Destruction rock the mic together. Sympathy and Disgust toast at the bar. Comic Book Subplot, Hip-Hop Folklore, and Punk & Reggae Fusion peep one another’s digs from across the room. Pride - arms folded, slightly rocking side to side, eyes squinted - stands right at the edge of the stage next to photographers. Imagine they are all present to witness the physical artistry of tap, crump, break-dancing, lyrical genius being guided by the popular hip hop beats of a young drum troupe and stylized mixing of the deejay. The musicianship and raucousness of live hip hop bands providing the remixed soundtrack for indelible scenes from Juice & Dead Presidents. Live art and a glass room over looking the joint like the Wiz. It is Rebellion in the Hood. And it’s on. With the valor and spirit of Jamaica’s Maroon community, and a “hustlenomic” flavor, the talents in Rebellion in the Hood offer those in attendance, an experience they’ll attempt to relive over and over again.
