IntroductionA life-long walker and reader, Kit Kennedy was born in New Jersey and migrated west via Buffalo reaching San Francisco in the mid 1990s. One word, then the next. Sometimes fire, sometimes ice.The soundscape of a poem has meaning. Kit fancies the short poem and cooks colorful food. She welcomes collaborative projects of all stripes. Kit doesn't believe a poem is necessarily confined to the page. Kit is always most grateful for an audience. Kit lives in Walnut Creek, CA, and hosted the monthly SF Gallery Cafe Reading Series from 2006 - 2010. Currently, she serve as SF Bay Times Poet in Residence and Resident Poet at Ebenezer Lutheran "herchurch." Kit published 6 poetry collections, including while eating oysters, CLWN WR BKS, Brooklyn, Intentions with Susan Gangel, Co-Lab Press, SF, Inconvenience with Susan Gangel (out of print), Constellations with Susan Gangel (out of print) Kit has never outgrown a love of red shoes, nor ever met a Fuyu persimmon she couldn't embrace.
