| Introduction | I'm a 60 year old woman who had to stop working as a RN in 1995 due to fibromyalgia. About five years ago, I started knitting. My dear mother-in-law had taught me to knit thirty years ago when I was pregnant with my first child, but I didn't continue with it. I raised three amazing children and since I couldn't work anymore, I decided to do some creative things in my life. I wrote articles about fibromyalgia, wrote some fiction stories and kept a massive web site about my journey with fibromyalgia long before blogs were being used. I also wrote a very bad novel, which is now sitting in a box in the closet in the den. Then I turned to knitting. It is my passion and it is what I do every single day of my life. And I hope to continue to create beautiful things with yarn. |
