| Introduction | We purchased a Freeman' Cottage to renovate several months ago. It's been our thought to blog our progress so others can glean from our journey and we can document the restoration. This quaint cottage is a specific style common on the peninsula of Charleston especially the Westside. It was built around 1929 and we purchased it from the Moultrie family who had owned the home since the 1940's. The home had fallen into disarray. This is our journey in preserving and updating a piece of Charleston history. |
