| Introduction | Colombian Artist Landscapes/Reflections (By: Eduardo Hernández 2011) Sandra De La Cruz recent works emerge from the detailed observation of light and contrasts in the different landscapes where she has lived in the past. On this ocasion she has chosen versatile and changing elements of nature like water and air, as an inverted mirror of reality bringing to us a pictorial back experience of light and color. Landscapes / Reflections is the title of this new proposal which includes paintings and videos, made between 2008 and 2011 in New York, São Paulo and Cartagena; where the movement of the artist in time and space, attached with the constant observation of common elements across the geography, are valid interests and actions that constitute the records of moments and the reason behind her work. |
