Introduction	When I first got married I had no idea how to cook (and neither did my husband). So, I took on the challenge! I started my cooking journey with replicating recipes I grew up with as well as those given to me by my inlaws. But, as my interest in meatloaf and pasta waned, I experienced a desire to "get to know" my food better. Along with that desire came a multitude of questions. Is it really necessary to make a pan hot before adding meat? What kind of "peaks" am I looking for when whipping egg whites? And so, the true learning began. Now, I can say I am more comfortable in the kitchen than I am anywhere else! My enjoyment of cooking has grown with my increased knowledge of the task. I am self taught and do not claim to be a true "cook". I am just an everyday cook sharing my love for everyday cooking!
