| Introduction | I divide my time between work as Professor of Architecture at Cardiff University, co-editor of Architectural Research Quarterly and director of Richard Weston Studio. A well known writer on architecture my dozen books include a Sir Banister Fletcher Prize-winning monograph on Alvar Aalto and the only comprehensive authorised account of the work of the architect of Sydney Opera House, Jørn Utzon. I have won prizes in competitions for architecture, landscape and public art, and exhibited on several occasions in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition; ‘Radiant House’ was hailed as the highlight of the FutureWorld housing exhibition at Milton Keynes. I am now exploring the use of natural materials such as those shown on the Earth site as source of data for digital design and manufacture. I have lectured on all the inhabited continents, as well as to many local societies, and appeared on national and local radio and television stations. |
