| Introduction | I am a stay at home mom of two wonderful kids ages 13 and 11, whom I homeschool. I have been married to my dear sweet husband for 14 years this April. I am a born-again King James Bible believing Christian. At 12 years old I was told the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. I saw in the scriptures that I was a sinner in need of a Savior. The Lord showed me I was lost and on my own I could not merit salvation. I turned from sin and self and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal Savior for my salvation. I love the Lord and love serving Him! It is a blessing to look back through the years and see God working in my family's life as we strive to put God first and do his will in our lives. I love the outdoors enjoying God's creation, and gardening is a way to do just that. As for the love for chickens...I think that is part of the country girl in me! I always wanted to have a small farm with sheep and horses and chickens. Never thought it was possible till I saw a book on urban chicken keeping! I thought wow, you mean I really CAN keep chickens! Next was warming my husband up to the idea. Now we all enjoy our "girls". Henny Penny is the name of one of my Rhode Island Reds. |
