| Introduction | As a practising Visual Art, my work has continued to expand as I seek out and explore urban living in the past and present residential / commercial sectors and in the rustic rural landscapes. My greatest challenge is to create tonal realism through capturing the ever changing light. Creating new and existing methods of printmaking using traditional etching techniques; monotypes, etching on plastic plate, etching on copper and silk lino reduction. Recently, I have been accepted to participate in the 'Artist's Open Studios' program for 2016/17. My studio is located in Plenty and is one of over 30 open throughout the Nillumbik Shire. A booklet that accompanies the program, 'Nillumbik invites the public into these artists studio space, providing an personal and thought provoking insight into their practice. This beautiful region provides for the perfect backdrop, with bushland and the tranquility that it offers while visiting studios constructed from eco materials such as mud brick, stone and recycled timbers. |
