Introduction I am a botanical artist in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have been painting and drawing for 35 years.I have explored/ worked in many mediums i.e. oils, colour pencil, water colours, pastels, calligraphy and porcelain painting. But my passion lies in botanical painting. I completed my Fundamentals of Fine Arts course in 1998 through North Light Art School, Ohio, USA. I have been studying and painting botanical arts since 2006 and have attended many workshops. I am currently a member of Botanical Arts Association of South Africa (BAASA), and have exhibited my work in prestigious exhibitions across South Africa, including Kirstenbosch Biennale 2010, in which I was awarded 3rd place. My paintings are currently exhibiting at Casa Labia in Bloom 2, Cape Town. In a recent exhibition, held in Johannesburg, my water colour painting Strilitzia Nicolai, was bought by the Oppenheimer Art Gallery. I am working towards and looking forward to many exhibitions in the future.I have signed up for my distance learning diploma course in January 2013 from the Society of Botanical Art(SBA)London and at the same time working for the exhibition at Kirstenbosch(Cape Town).
