| Introduction | I'm a full time college student at a major research institution in the Southeast. Ever since I was a sophomore in high school, I have been interested in studying the controversial issue of stem cell research. After reading many books and online articles, I have heard both sides of the story. Specifically, I have read about how stem cell research can lead to many cures, but how people define obtaining stem cells from embryos as killing. Despite changing my opinion several times regarding stem cell research, I have finally chosen the side of promoting stem cell research. Through this blog, I will analyze why we should come to accept stem cell research due to the numerous amount of benefits. My goal in life is to leave the world a better place than how it was when I arrived here, and I believe stem cell research will lead to many positive aspects we all can cherish. |
