| Introduction | I am head-over-heels in love with the movies! Cinema, Film, the Movies is escapism & fantasy to me at its best! I created Cinemanista not only because I love cinema, but because I feel women & especially African American film writers are unfortunately very rare. I've seen a little over 2,000 films (I keep a list of all movies I've seen) & I am always adding to my huge (approx. 1000+ DVDs) forever growing home movie collection. I love every single thing movie related: posters, trailers, scores, reviews, the actors/actresses & directors, the history, etc. I've loved film since I was young. As an adult, I've come to appreciate & love film for the art it truly is. There's nothing more I enjoy than going to the movies- the experience is something I live for!
