Introduction	Mr. Jackson serves as the Principal of Cuthbertson High School. In 2010-2011, Mr. Jackson was honored to be selected by the other UCPS Principals to represent them as the 2010-2011 Union County Principal of the Year. In May, 2011, he was named as the Wells Fargo North Carolina State Principal of the Year. He has been honored during his career as the Outstanding Senior in the Elementary Education Department of Western Carolina University, the Sallie Mae First Year Teacher of the Year at Glen Arden Elementary School in Buncombe County, named a North Carolina Principal Fellow, and was awarded the Jack McCall Award through the Principals Executive Program. Prior to his assignment to Cuthbertson High School, Mr. Jackson served as the Principal of Parkwood High School in Southwestern Union County. He previously served as the Founding Principal of Marvin Elementary School. Mr. Jackson has served as a School Secretary, a Bus Driver, an AfterSchool Associate, a Teacher and an Assistant Principal. Mr. Jackson also served in the US Navy onboard the USS Iwo Jima.
