| Introduction | I grew up around good home cooks in Houston, Texas. In college, I wrote restaurant reviews for Georgetown University’s The Hoya and created and hosted my own television cooking show, “Frost Bites.” After graduation I catered small parties and interned for My Table, a food and wine magazine based in Houston. At the University of Southern California, I wrote a food column called "Frost Bites: a practical guide to college cooking." For my master's thesis at USC I wrote the biography of Ruth Adams Bronz, unsung pioneer of American Regional Cooking. I also have a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology. |
