| Introduction | My name is Kim Heiser and I am a counselor turned Life Coach.I am also a Late Stage Chronic Lyme Disease patient attempting to save my own life (please see my blog post "The Journey Begins.." for my story.) I have a BA in Psychology from Marylhurst University and am a former Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Life Coaching is seeking to discover your purpose and bring to the surface your ability to achieve that purpose. It is stepping out of the familiar and into the unknown. It is the courage to be honest with yourself about what is working in your life and what isn't. It is the desire to enhance the things that are working and eliminate the things that are no longer aligned with your goals and dreams. It is having support, encouragement, and guidance while you make those changes. It is creating goals and then moving purposefully toward the completion of those goals while looking at all areas of your life. Choosing to work with a Life Coach is just engaging more fully in the life you were meant to live and the journey upon which you long ago embarked. |

| Favorite movies | "Under our Skin"-this film reminds me daily what I am fighting for and why I cannot give up! "Yesterday"-this film reminded me to be grateful for all that I have. "American Beauty"-this film reminded me to live in the moment and follow my heart. "The Way"-this film reminded me to step outside my comfort zone as often as possible, as nothing is impossible. |
| Favorite music | Very eclectic in my taste in music but typically anything that touches my soul and/or makes me want to get up and dance despite the pain, the vertigo, the difficulty even walking at times-good music will oftentimes override those limitations. |
| Favorite books | Too many too name-will have to get back to you on that since, on average, I read a book a day. |
