| Introduction | The school which was affectionately known as Dassiebult, was founded on December 1, 1912 at the instance of General Louis Botha, the erstwhile Prime Minister of the then Union of South Africa, on his visit to George. It shut down as a High School for boys at the end of 2000. It was the oldest existing school in George. During its existence, it was home to thousands of pupils, teachers and staff. All who have had the privilege of entering through its gates, have fond memories of their stay there. Although Die Bult High School is in existence no more, it will live in our hearts forever. |
