| Introduction | I try to achieve a painting that is as complex as life and thought. (Ross Bleckner). I paint light-hearted, bright, energetic paintings which describe this outlook on life. My favourite technique is watercolour, as it has exactly those qualities I like to represent. It is mostly water, with a little bit of pigment makes it very similar to life on Earth (71% water); plants( up to 90%), animals (aprox 75%) and of course humans (57-79%) are mostly water. Watercolour painting can be compared with dancing: painter leads and watercolour actively corresponds to artists movements. Motifs range from landscapes, urban scapes, portraits, figures… I find inspiration in everything I see and use those images and atmospheres to represent inner conditions, thoughts and emotions. I mostly paint from photography but lately leaning more towards plan air. |
