| Introduction | I've renamed this about me section "At a glance". Really that's all it is.Sure there is more to us than what can be expressed in 1200 words or less... But, I'll start with what you would notice at a glance... Let me paint this picture for ya'. Okay, so we represent the 16 percent of Americans that make up blended families. Inevitably noticeable when you see our 8 children of varying shades and apparent ethnicity. At first glance you might imagine that we started having children and never stopped. In part, due to the stair-stepping ages and heights between them. but I promise it's just the coincidence of 'our blend'. Nevertheless, we totally love it. My husband is a short bearded Muslim man with soft eyes and myself, a little veiled woman with a complexion and slanted eyes that don't immediately reveal my true ethnicity... we’re on a journey to who knows where but, we know there’s so much to come.
