Introduction I grew up exploring all kinds of crafts. Several years ago, after my job as a social worker got eliminated, I had the opportunity to work in a small quilt, yarn, and craft shop in northern Michigan. I fell in love with being able to help customers make treasures and learn new skills. Doing anything with one's hands can be very therapeutic. I have found over the years that I really enjoy anything having to do with wool, whether it be fabric, yarns, or roving, which is odd for me, as I was very allergic to wool as a child. I love teaching wool applique and rug hooking, both traditional primitive with wool strips, and needle punch with yarns. I am drawn to bright colors, so you will find more color to some of my work, than what people traditionally use. I returned to my home state of Michigan, 10 years ago, after living in California for many years. I have been so happy to get back to 4 definite seasons, and love being surrounded by the Great Lakes. There is something magical about the big waters. I hope you will follow and share with me on my wandering and exploration into creating wool projects!
