| Introduction | I am a Peace Corps volunteer working in the Dominican Republic until Novemeber 2009. I am working and living in a girls' home called La Fundacion Hogar de las Ninas Madelaes. We have 21 girls ages 4 to 16. I am helping with fundraising for the home, PR, teaching the girls, literacy, outreach to the girls' families, and to create a mentoring "big sister" type of program here. After finishing Peace Corps I hope to either go to law school and work for immigrants' rights or to get my Masters in Education with a speciality in dual language/bilingual teaching. |
