Part of this developed as a result of my financially challenging life. Another excuse is my fascination with history. I can also use the justification found in the pleasure of discovering treasure without having to haul all and sundry fifty miles to the nearest bookstore, endure disappointment at the library - again, or waste gas driving the yard sale circuit in hopes of finding a good read.
