About me

GenderMale
OccupationTeam Lead/Systems Architect
LocationGrand Rapids, Michigan, United States
IntroductionI'm a Systems Architect working in the Food Service industry. I am also the team lead of a developer support team that manages middleware (web server, application server, directory server) and developer tools (IDE, VCS, Issue Tracking, Code Review).
I have over 15 years in the industry and have worked in a variety of IT areas on both the development and infrastructure sides of the IT house. My language of choice is Java but I'm familiar with a wide range of other languages (C/C++, Python/Jython, Ruby/JRuby, VB/VB.NET, JavaScript, etc).
My current technology passion is architecting the infrastructure side of the house. Designing the servers, VMs, networks, databases, application servers and other infrastructure to support our custom, COTS and SaaS software solutions.
My current non-technology passion is leadership in it's many forms. I currently lead a small team but have a larger influence across my organization. I am fascinated by the different ways individuals can lead from within an organization regardless of their actual position or authority.
InterestsLeadership, business and IT alignment, technology, communication, relationship building, strategy creation.
